Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)

VVS is growing! We are currently seeking to add technicians to our Surgery teams.

  • Surgical Anesthesia Technician: Surgical skills including but not limited to providing diagnostic digital radiographs or CT scans, proper equipment sterilization techniques, surgical preparation, inducing and monitoring anesthesia, mastering and upholding proper anesthetic and analgesic protocols, patient recovery, intensive nursing care, and providing support to clients for hospitalized patients, and discharges.
  • Surgery Treatment Technician: Responsible for providing surgical patients with the highest standard of pre and post operative care. They are charged with safely and efficiently recovering post operative patients, providing treatments and advanced nursing care for hospitalized patients, as well as providing support to clients that have patients currently in our care.

Veterinary OR Assistant

VVS is looking for a motivated and experienced Veterinary OR Assistant to provide the highest level of veterinary care in a supportive, team-oriented environment. The right candidate will be reliable, motivated, professional, and compassionate. Must be able to work a schedule of four 10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday.
 
The OR Assistant's main role is to assist with surgical preparations and procedures. This role is responsible for maintaining the flow of the OR setup and turnover as well as getting patients in and out of the OR safely and efficiently. Their main functions include: preparing ORs, scrubbing into surgical procedures, cleaning and wrapping packs, cleaning and flipping ORs. Previous experience in the veterinary field will be strongly considered, however human medicine experience is also welcomed. We are not only looking for a skilled and dedicated candidate, but we also want you to be a positive culture contributor. We expect you to be people-oriented—tolerant, supportive, and fairness-focused. As well as team oriented—you must be able to work cooperatively and collaboratively.
