We know that most clients have a close relationship with their primary care veterinarian. Virginia Veterinary Specialists strives to work in conjunction with your primary care veterinarian in order to achieve the optimal care for your loved ones.
While a referral from your veterinarian is encouraged, we do allow clients to make appointments directly. Optimal patient care entails communication between the client, veterinary specialist, and primary care veterinarian. If you think your pet would benefit from a consultation with a board certified specialist at Virginia Veterinary Specialists, give us a call or talk with your veterinarian about a possible referral.
Upon completion of the consultation, after any diagnostic measures or recovery from surgery, your primary care veterinarian will be contacted by telephone and/or with a complete written report regarding the care and management of your pet.
